Ellie Reinvented
On a New Year’s Eve, three women were brought into a small but new hospital in Southern Utah, the Iron County Regional. The first was Marcia Davenport, a sixty-five-year-old college professor, injured in a ski accident. The second was Eleanor Fraser, a twenty-nine-year-old abused housewife and mother of two children. Her husband, Nicholas Fraser, in a drunken rage, tried to kill her. The third is a society wife and mother, Patricia Novak, wife of Michael Novak, a land developer with property in several states in the western part of the United States. "Please, he begs, take me away from here." She soon learns he has been shot. The 'bad guys' are now following her and her unwelcome passenger shooting at her car. A chase ensues through Salt Lake County, Jenna finally manages to lose their pursuers and through a level five blizzard, she and her wounded passenger manage to reach a cottage in the woods. Her passenger, a British business man, has no idea who the enemy is. Jenna contacts an old friend married to an FBI agent, Mac MacCandlass. He decides to help the Brit, Alistair Powell. Mac travels to London and soon realizes this attack on Alistair has become and international incident. Jenna continues to help Alistair and the investigation goes on.
12/31 Las Vegas
Dexter MacCandlass, and a team of FBI agents from the Southern California office investigate a suspected terrorist safe house. Mac's specialty: computer technology, Though the hostiles escape, Mac goes in to gather as much information from their computer as possible. The hostiles are then traced to Las Vegas. In that city another raid on their hideout is a disaster. Mac is kidnapped and taken to their safe house, and tortured for information he knows about the terrorists. He is dumped in St. George, Utah, (two hours from Las Vegas) left for dead. Claire Talbot owns a veterinary clinic in St. George. She and a friend Suzanne Freeman, an ME. (She is married to a cop in Las Vegas) rescue Mac and help him to recover. The terrorists plan on mass destruction in Las Vegas. Sometime during the last week in December. It's up to these four plus other law enforcement, to find the terrorists, their targets and stop them.
