Occupational Safety and Hygiene
Occupational Safety and Hygiene presents selected papers from the International Symposium on Occupational Safety and Hygiene – SHO2013 (Guimarães, Portugal, 14-15 February 2013), which was organized by the Portuguese Society for Occupational Safety and Hygiene (SPOSHO). The contributions from 15 different countries focus on: - Occupational safety - Risk assessment - Safety management - Ergonomics - Management systems - Environmental ergonomics - Physical environments - Construction safety - Human factors The papers included in the book are mainly based on research carried out at universities and other research institutions, but they are also based on practical studies developed by Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) practitioners within their companies. As a result, this book will be useful to get acquainted with the state-of-the-art of the research within the aforementioned domains, as well as with some practical tools and approaches that are currently used by OHS professionals worldwide.

This book constitutes the proceedings of the 24th International Conference on Intelligent Data Engineering and Automated Learning, IDEAL 2023, held in Évora, Portugal, during November 22–24, 2023. The 45 full papers and 4 short papers presented in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 77 submissions. IDEAL 2023 is focusing on big data challenges, machine learning, deep learning, data mining, information retrieval and management, bio-/neuro-informatics, bio-inspired models, agents and hybrid intelligent systems, and real-world applications of intelligence techniques and AI. Esta edição de Verde e Azul (Meninice à Beira-mar) é a primeira realização do projeto de preservação e resgate do acervo deixado por Manoel Joaquim da Silva Pinto – do qual constam, sobretudo, poesia, prosa jornalística, e inúmeros estudos de filologia. Premiada em 1954, em concurso de poesia inédita, promovido pela revista “Letras Fluminenses”, esta “coletânea”, como a definiu Manoel Joaquim, teve alguns de seus versos publicados na imprensa campista e na carioca.
