In the year 1994, young aadit, Leela, and Samarth are announced the only survivors of an abduction case. The incident tainted their childhood. As they grew up, the haunting memories from their past forced Audit to turn into a drug addict and question his existence. While leela's continuous suicide attempts turn out futile, Samarth is diagnosed with a terminal illness and counts his days to death. They knew their lives would never be back to normal again. What will they do when aadit, Leela, and Samarth realize that the person who traumatized their childhood was back from his death to take what belongs to him? Are they strong enough to fight against him? What if there is more to their past th...
Virat Kohli makes scoring centuries look easy in ODIs. He has done it again and again in limited-overs cricket for India and the first ODI against South Africa was no different. The Indian skipper scored his 33rd ODI, which came off 105 balls at the Kingsmead Stadium. However, things have become bad for Irfan Pathan, having being ignored at the IPL Auction. Many cricket pundits yet believes that an ample of cricket is still left in this all-rounder. But, the necessity is to maintain regular fitness and performing consistently to leave an impression in the upcoming domestic seasons whether it is for Baroda or his current team J&K. Ishant Sharma is another cricketer, who is fighting for his survival. He is finding it difficult to cement his place in the team, particularly in the Test format where he is always in this on-off mode. There is more to read from cricket in this issue.
This book aims to explore the intersection of AI, technology education, and computer science with sustainable business practices. It delves into the application of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain in various business domains, including healthcare, education, government services, and digital transformation.
The current embedded processors often do not satisfy increasingly demanding computation requirements of embedded applications within acceptable energy efficiency, whereas application-specific integrated circuits require excessive design costs. In the Stanford Elm project, it was identified that instruction and data delivery, not computation, dominate the energy consumption of embedded processors. Consequently, the energy efficiency of delivering instructions and data must be sufficiently improved to close the efficiency gap between application-specific integrated circuits and programmable embedded processors. This dissertation demonstrates that the compiler and run-time system can play a cru...
Welcome to the proceedings of the 3rd Power-Aware Computer Systems (PACS 2003) Workshop held in conjunction with the 36th Annual International Symposium on Microarchitecture (MICRO-36). The increase in power and - ergy dissipation in computer systems has begun to limit performance and has also resulted in higher cost and lower reliability. The increase also implies - ducedbatterylifeinportablesystems.Becauseofthemagnitudeoftheproblem, alllevelsofcomputersystems, includingcircuits, architectures, andsoftware, are being employed to address power and energy issues. PACS 2003 was the third workshop in its series to explore power- and energy-awareness at all levels of computer systems and brought tog...
When Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin were not selected for the ODI series against Australia, the former Indian cricketers lambasted the Indian selectors for their vision. The team management wanted to try out wrist spinner and therefor, they went in with Kuldeep Yadav. Let me be very frank, since the day he has burst in international cricket, Kuldeep is growing in confidence. If performance is the only parameter for selection, he deserve to be part of Men in Blue in shorter formats. Virat Kohli should be criticized for promoting tattoo culture. I know there are many international sport stars, who are getting their body inked but wrong is wrong after all. The governing body of international cricket has introduced new rules and regulations to make cricket more competitive, exciting and mannerly.
Speed improvements in memory systems have not kept pace with the speed improvements of processors, leading to embedded systems whose performance is limited by the memory. This book presents design techniques for fast, energy-efficient and timing-predictable memory systems that achieve high performance and low energy consumption. In addition, the use of scratchpad memories significantly improves the timing predictability of the entire system, leading to tighter worst case execution time bounds.
With film studies taking the centre stage and becoming a significant paper within the discipline ‘Journalism and Mass communication’, there is a rising demand and need for a comprehensive book that will deal with basic concepts of film theories and production. Keeping this need in mind, the book is an edited volume which will introduce the basic concepts of film production and theories to the beginners. The highlight of this book is a detailed overview of key foreign film movements and important landmarks in the journey of Indian films with special reference to notable directors and their contributions. The book attempts to throw light on the basic technical aspects of film making as wel...
Some people are born with a vacillating mind and stay unsure of themselves; they remain silent even when the situation demands words from them. One of them is Nahush, the protagonist. He is dissatisfied with his job at a private insurance company. His family is also no solace to him, as his mother's tyranny and the continual bickering among his sisters-in-law keep him awake at night. Insecure Nahush follows the protagonist from New Delhi to Mumbai, from an unsuitable old job to a potential new one. Will Nahush be able to marry the right girl as he navigates between the girl his mother rejects and the girl who rejects him?
The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation defines hazardous materials (hazmat) as a substance or material capable of posing an unreasonable risk to health, safety, or property when transported in commerce. Hazmat accidents can result in significant impact to the population (death, injuries) and damage to the environment (destroyed or damaged buildings and infrastructure). Further, hazmat, especially explosive materials, can potentially be used by terrorists to attack civilians or to destroy critical infrastructure. This handbook provides models from Operations Research and Management Science that study various activities involving haz...
