Acquired by the library in 1968 from Dr. Garo Owen Minasian, the collection includes manuscripts of ecclesiastical character as well as theological and philosophical works, medical treatises, and anthologies of poetry.

This catalog identifies and describes the Armenian manuscripts acquired since 1913 and held in the British Library's extensive collection, as well as thirteen other significant and previously uncatalogued collections in libraries and museums in the United Kingdom, including the Bodleian Library and John Rylands University Library in Manchester. Vrej Nersessian's introduction provides a short history of each of the collections, followed by a chapter outlining the sources of Armenian iconography. There is an entry for each of the manuscripts described that gives full details--a description of the physical object and its present condition, including the binding, provenance, contents, and details of any illustrations contained. The catalog also contains twenty-four pages of color images of miniatures contained in the manuscripts. Intended as a reference work for scholars, this comprehensive catalogue is the only listing of its kind and will stand as a major achievement in Armenian studies for many generations.
These volumes comprise a collection of papers by Michael E. Stone, written over a period of 35 years. Stone is a leading scholar in two different fields of research, the Jewish literature of the Second Temple period including the Dead Sea Scrolls, and Armenian Studies. So this collection includes essays relating to the origins and nature of the Apocryphal literature and its relationship with the Dead Sea Scrolls, as well as more specific studies devoted to themes that have interested Stone throughout his career, including Messianism, 4 Ezra, Adam and Eve, and Aramaic Levi Document. Philology is one of the most investigated fields of Armenian studies. At the end of the twentieth century, it was important to provide an overview of the main achievements and on the methodological approaches implemented in this field till now. This is the aim of the present publication. Part I focuses on the manuscripts, the inscriptions, and the printings. Its second section is devoted to the textual criticisms and the third section explores the interface between linguistics and philology. Case studies form the core of Part II. One chapter offers an overview on the 17th-19th centuries, and two articles are devoted to the conditions of the circulation of the literary production in the 20th century, both in Western and Eastern Armenian.
