Este libro habla de la diversidad y heterogeneidad de las personas trans femeninas que habitan la Ciudad de México y de los procesos de configuración de su identidad de género. A través de un recorrido por las narrativas de algunas de ellas, es posible observar los cambios y permanencias en sociabilidades urbanas que forman parte de estos procesos identitarios. Las atmósferas trans retratadas en esta obra permiten conocer parte de las experiencias urbanas de algunas personas trans femeninas en un periodo que va de 1996 a 2013 y que muestra tanto la transfobia como las respuestas a ella en las distintas dimensiones de la vida cotidiana: las fiestas, las discotecas y espacios para la transformación, el activismo, las redes socio—digitales y las propias narrativas autobiográficas.
