The story told on this book, although written in a parodical form and filled with fictitious places, names and characters, has been modeled after and chronologically sequenced following the recorded historical facts of a known and long gone dictatorship that faded into obscurity, as it commonly takes place after the disappearance of its central originator and main supporting character.
The Bahamas archipelago consisting of some 690 islands and cays sprawled over a water surface area of nearly 140,000 square miles, with hundreds of hideouts, makes if difficult to be effectively patrolled. For this reason, the area has been for centuries a heaven for smugglers and illegal traders. This novel deals with some of those activities, which remnants are still present today and will continue to exist, for as long as they serve the purpose of political an social convenience.
Although the plot of this novel is fictional in nature, the scenario is entirely possible given the political and social conditions prevailing in the area where the perpetrators of the crime chose as their preferred hideout. On an unlike turn, and considering the character of the main player, the book also stresses over the importance of sheltering our children under the best possible conditions, in such a way to sponsor their development to a full potential as useful citizens, as the cornerstone defining the character of a nation.
