Microbiota Biodiversity of Traditional Fermented Products
Assessing the microbiota biodiversity of fermented food products, such as bacterial and fungal diversity, can inform on the nutritional value of such products as well as assessing the safety for consumption. Understanding the bacterial or fungal composition of such products is important to ensure food safety and prevent possible contamination with foodborne pathogens which may have serious public health implications. For example, the U.S Food and Drug Administration (2014) tested samples of cheeses prepared using unpasteurized milks and identified the presence of Listeria monocytogenes and Shiga-toxin producing Escherichia coli.

La psiquiatría, como rama de la medicina que aborda este tema, se encuentra en una posición a la vez privilegiada y difícil. Por un lado, puede integrar los hallazgos de las neurociencias y la biología molecular en el tratamiento de pacientes con trastornos mentales. Por otro, se enfrenta a fenómenos clínicos complejos y heterogéneos, donde los signos y síntomas que fundamentan otras especialidades médicas son imprescindibles, pero insuficientes muchas veces. World malaria report 2021
The World malaria report 2021 provides a comprehensive update on global and regional malaria data and trends. The report tracks investments in malaria programmes and research, as well as progress across all intervention areas: prevention, diagnosis, treatment, elimination and surveillance. It also includes dedicated chapters on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global fight against malaria and on the burden of severe malaria in malaria endemic countries. The target audience is WHO and relevant UN offices at all levels, global partners, national malaria programmes, academia and the general public.

Each year, WHO’s World malaria report offers in-depth information on the latest trends in malaria control and elimination at global, regional and country levels.
