A obra Economia e finanças internacionais de Bretton Woods à globalização financeira e depois, traz em seu conteúdo uma análise com rico embasamento teórico e histórico, feito por pesquisadores dos departamentos de pós-graduação em Economia da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp), Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU) e da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), além de contar com a colaboração de pesquisadores de outros institutos de pesquisa. This edited volumeaims to describe physiological and pathophysiological mechanisms that underlie human maternal-fetal interactions. The book emphasizes the structure and development of the fetoplacental unit, the endocrine and nutritional regulation of fetal development, nitric oxide signalling, solute carriers function and ion channels regulation in healthy pregnancies and diseases, like preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and maternal obesity, among others.
