This Encore edition, by Wesley Jacobs, is the only comprehensive version ever published for tuba and is carefully engraved to the highest quality standards. The many errors that exist in the old trombone edition are now corrected in this new book. The Bordogni Vocalises (or Melodious Études) are essential for all tubists. Many younger tubists did not know how to transpose, and many advanced players did not use the Vocalises on instruments in higher keys. Therefore, much of the benefit of Bordogni's works remained untapped.
