Die technische Entwicklung von Geo-/Netzinformationssystemen führte zur Erweiterung des Einsatzspektrums, sodass diese beim Netzbetrieb verwendet werden können. Folgende Fragestellungen werden untersucht: Bei welchen Prozessen und Aufgaben kann ein mobiles GIS die Außendienstmitarbeiter des Netzbetriebs unterstützen? Welche Nutzenpotentiale bietet das mobile GIS bzw. welche Vorteile ergeben sich, wenn Prozesse im Außendienst durch ein mobiles GIS unterstützt werden? Welche Anforderungen sind an die mobile Lösung zu stellen und welche Systemkomponenten sind dafür notwendig? Welche Anforderungen sind an die Daten in Bezug auf die Qualität zu stellen?
