Margaret Farrington was born March 27, 1925 in Dallas, Texas. Her parents were Telford Jones Farrington and Jeannie Mayes Morgan. She married Walter John Jagmin in 1951. He was born October 31, 1918 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His parents were Lucian Jagmin (b. 1874) and Valerie Lunkiewicz (b. 1882) who were both from Poland. Margaret and John had three children. Traces their ancestors, descendants and relatives in Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin, Poland, Lithuania and elsewhere.

Located in the western piedmont of North Carolina, Yadkin County was hardly a hotbed of rebellion at the start of the Civil War. Many of the 1,200 men from Yadkin who served in the Confederate Army did so with distinction, but a number deserted. Some of these holed up in the Bond School House, and when the militia attempted to arrest them, four were killed and several others were wounded. Abel Knight (1719-1815) was born in Pennsylvania and married Rachel Hare. Abel was a descendant of Giles Knight who emigrated from England to Pennsylvania in the 1680s. Abel and Rachel were Quakers by faith. They moved to Virginia in the 1740s and lived there for about ten years before moving to North Carolina where they spent the remainder of their life. They were the parents of seven children. Descendants live in North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana and other parts of the United States.
