Ölpreisschock, Rezession und Transformation – während Europa einen dramatischen Strukturwandel erlebte, widersetzten sich die Werften Gdynia (Polen) und Uljanik (Kroatien) seit den 1970ern jeder größeren Reform. Trotz permanenter Krise und notorischer Unrentabilität existierten sie noch Jahrzehnte weiter.
