A Bibliography for Juan Ruiz's LIBRO DE BUEN AMOR: Second Edition
This is an extensive listing of almost everything published about the fourteenth century Spanish "Libro de buen amor" by Juan Ruiz, Archpriest of Hita. It is essentially the same as the online bibliography at http: //my-lba.com but it also contains a history of this project starting in the 1970's and a listing of other bibliographies on this work of literature. In addition, it can be used in conjunction with the e-book version (which has a search engine) "A Bibliography for the Book of Good Love, Third Edition" found at Lulu.com.

Este libro estudia el género de las adivinanzas desde dos miradas la española y la mexicana representaciones de dos tradiciones hispánicas, mostrando lo que las acerca y lo que las aleja, las semejanzas y las diferencias, en sus variantes, en su temática, en su léxico, en su estilo, en su métrica o en su estructura. Estas dos tradiciones se han armonizado a través de los siglos, como testimonio de un encuentro que ha resultado afortunado y que es muestra de la riqueza y versatilidad de un patrimonio cultural, más allá de los límites temporales y espaciales. Si en España es sabido que la tradición del género se ha delimi¬tado alrededor del enigma, el acertijo y la adivinanza, no es tan conocido su antecedente en los zazaniles o zazanilli y quisicosas prehispánicos, a pesar de haber sido consignados por fray Bernardino de Sahagún en su Historia general de las cosas de Nueva España, ya en 1557.
Lived Religion and Everyday Life in Early Modern Hagiographic Material
This book discusses the ways in which early modern hagiographic sources can be used to study lived religion and everyday life from the fifteenth to the seventeenth century. For several decades, saints’ lives, other spiritual biographies, miracle narratives, canonisation processes, iconography, and dramas, have been widely utilised in studies on medieval religious practices and social history. This fruitful material has however been overlooked in studies of the early modern period, despite the fact that it witnessed an unprecedented growth in the volume of hagiographic material. The contributors to this volume address this, and illuminate how early modern hagiographic material can be used for the study of topics such as religious life, the social history of medicine, survival strategies, domestic violence, and the religious experience of slaves.
