Movimiento y lenguajes transversales para aprendizajes saludables
Aborda el desarrollo del bienestar y la mejora de la salud desde diferentes perspectivas y ámbitos (educación física, danza, psicomotricidad, literatura, artes plásticas y escénicas) con el objetivo de ofrecer conocimientos y recursos que permitan tomar decisiones de manera autónoma y consciente ante diversas opciones de conductas saludables. A través de los diferentes capítulos se presentan propuestas dirigidas a promover nuevas estrategias de aprendizaje a partir de metodologías diversas, inclusivas y sostenibles, orientadas al desarrollo de una salud integral (física, mental, emocional, interior y social), tomando como eje fundamental el conocimiento del cuerpo y del movimiento.
Aprendizaje con sentido y valor personal
Este libro tiene como objetivo identificar, describir e ilustrar un conjunto de recursos, estrategias y experiencias de personalización educativa dirigidos a promover y reforzar en el alumnado el sentido y el valor personal de sus aprendizajes escolares. Surgido en el marco de la Alianza Educación 360 promovida por la Fundación Jaume Bofill, la Diputación de Barcelona y la Federación de Movimientos de Renovación Pedagógica de Cataluña, tiene como destinatarios principales docentes y agentes educativos de la comunidad. Chlorophyll a Fluorescence in Aquatic Sciences: Methods and Applications
Measurements of variable chlorophyll fluorescence have revolutionised global research of photosynthetic bacteria, algae and plants and in turn assessment of the status of aquatic ecosystems, a success that has partly been facilitated by the widespread commercialisation of a suite of chlorophyll fluorometers designed for almost every application in lakes, rivers and oceans. Numerous publications have been produced as researchers and assessors have simultaneously sought to optimise protocols and practices for key organisms or water bodies; however, such parallel efforts have led to difficulties in reconciling processes and patterns across the aquatic sciences. This book follows on from the first international conference on “chlorophyll fluorescence in the aquatic sciences” (AQUAFLUO 2007): to bridge the gaps between the concept, measurement and application of chlorophyll fluorescence through the synthesis and integration of current knowledge from leading researchers and assessors as well as instrument manufacturers.
Apprenticeship in Thinking
This interdisciplinary work presents an integration of theory and research on how children develop their thinking as they participate in cultural activity with the guidance and challenge of their caregivers and other companions. The author, a leading developmental psychologist, views development as an apprenticeship in which children engage in the use of intellectual tools in societally structured activities with parents, other adults, and children. The author has gathered evidence from various disciplines--cognitive, developmental, and cultural psychology; anthropology; infancy studies; and communication research--furnishing a coherent and broadly based account of cognitive development in its sociocultural context. This work examines the mutual roles of the individual and the sociocultural world, and the culturally based processes by which children appropriate and extend skill and understanding from their involvement in shared thinking with other people. The book is written in a lively and engaging style and is supplemented by photographs and original illustrations by the author.
Algal Adaptation to Environmental Stresses
Algae, generally held as the principal primary producers of aquatic systems, inhabit all conceivable habitats. They have great ability to cope with a harsh environment, e.g. extremely high and low temperatures, suboptimal and supraoptimal light intensities, low availability of essential nutrients and other resources, and high concentrations of toxic chemicals, etc. A multitude of physiological, biochemical, and molecular strategies enable them to survive and grow in stressful habitats. This book presents a critical account of various mechanisms of stress tolerance in algae, many of which may occur in microbes and plants as well.
