To restore democracy and fundamental rights, Poland's political leaders need to improve and reinvent themselves; especially PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski - Poland's undisputed de facto leader - who handpicks ministers and makes strategic decisions from his party office in a ramshackle building in central Warsaw. Otherwise Poland must be kicked out of the European Union; which would give Poland's government the privilege of receiving their marching orders from Moscow again; like in the old days, when Poland was part of the Soviet Union. Critical, but also deeply sensitive and humane, this book explores social scientific, ethical and Christian approaches, so that rule of law can be restored in Poland. Otherwise Bulgaria must be expelled from the European Union; which would give Bulgaria's government the privilege of receiving their marching orders from Moscow again; like in the old days, when Bulgaria was part of the Soviet Union. Critical, but also deeply sensitive and humane, this book explores social scientific and ethical approaches, so that public freedoms can be restored in Bulgaria. Social challenges - such as press freedom violations and political corruption - are also explored in this work; as corruption still highlights one of Bulgaria's main problems; Bulgaria being the most corrupt country in the EU, and also having the lowest score on press freedom in the European Union.

The UN has warned that Zimbabwe is facing its worst hunger crisis in a decade with half of the population - 7.7 million people - being food insecure; due to an economic meltdown and unprecendented malnutrition; according to the WFP. Also, widespread corruption has contributed to a rise in sexual bribery in Zimbabwe; with an unprecedented number of women reporting being forced to exchange sex for employment or business favours. More than 57% of women surveyed by 'Transparency International Zimbabwe' (TIZ), said they had been forced to offer sexual favours in exchange for jobs, medical care and even when seeking placements at schools for their children. The report, entitled Gender and Corruption, found women were increasingly vulnerable to sexual abuse amid the deteriorating Zimbabwean economy. Hence it is very important that economic stability, rule-of-law and human rights are restored in Zimbabwe - with the assistance of the international community - so that peace and prosperity can be manifested in Zimbabwe.
