The Challenges of Vatican II for an Authentic Indian Catholic Church
The Vatican II was an event of a new facelift for the entire edifice of the Catholic ecclesiology. It called for the renewal in the universal Catholic Church. This book deals with the question: How can the Catholic Church in India accept the council's challenge for renewal and become truly Indian in its being and essence? Undertaking a systematic examination of the post-conciliar ecclesiological development in the Indian Catholic Church, in its existential multi-religious and multi-cultural context, the author attempts to develop an ecclesiological reflection for the Indian context.

Overcoming the Osu Caste System among the Afro-Igbo
It is the conviction of Sacramentum Caritatis as well as the fathers of the Second Vatican Council that active participation at Eucharistic celebration cannot be easily disassociated from active involvement in the Church's mission in the world. This present study in the light of the foregoing presuppositions, exposes some of such challenges confronting the Afro-Igbo Christian, with special focus on the menace of the osu caste system, and proposes ways towards its eradication. One of such ways remains strengthening the Eucharistic celebration through the process of the inculturation.

The publication of the ESCT (European Society for Catholic Theology) with the title “Synodality in Europe” reflects on the synodal process in Europe and challenges of theological work in view of the learning process to become a “synodal church”. The different articles lay theological foundations of synodality, they present regional and world church perspectives, they show tensions and processes of pluralisation which are understood as a “laboratory” of synodality related to the liberating and healing Gospel of Jesus Christ. Healing Mission
Theologische Studien zu bioethischen und medizinischen Fragestellungen vernachlässigen oft den Aspekt der Gesundheit der Bevölkerung(en). Andererseits hat die Covid-19-Pandemie das Ausmaß der Vernetzung zwischen Völkern und Nationen gezeigt. Trotz zahlreicher Studien zu den ethischen, sozialen und medizinischen Herausforderungen einer globalen Pandemie gibt es immer noch eine bemerkenswerte Lücke in der Reflexion über die Rolle der katholischen Kirche sowohl hinsichtlich der öffentlichen als auch der globalen Gesundheit.
