Dieser Sammelband ist eine kritische Auseinandersetzung mit der wechselvollen Geschichte des Salzburger Landtages und damit der Landespolitik in den letzten 150 Jahren seit 1861 bzw.1868. Durch die Fokussierung auf den Landtag eröffnet sich eine vollkommen neue Sicht auf die Geschichte des Landes Salzburg. Seit 1868 tritt der Salzburger Landtag zu seinen Sitzungen im Chiemseehof zusammen. Als Sitz des Landesparlaments ist der Chiemseehof der zentrale Ort der demokratischen Mitbestimmung in Salzburg. Der Landtag ist aber auch ein Spiegelbild gesellschaftlicher Veränderungen und Entwicklungen, 150 Jahre gesellschaftspolitischer Dynamik, die auch im Wandel der Politik zum Ausdruck kommt. Welche Rolle das Landesparlament dabei spielte, ist Gegenstand dieser Salzburger Parlamentsgeschichte.
