Joseph Kingsbury was born in 1600 in Boxford, Suffolk, England. He married Millicent Ames, daughter of Anthony Ames and Margery Pierce, in 1628. They emigrated in about 1631 and settled in Massachusetts. They had seven children. He died in 1676 in Dedham, Massachusetts.
