Pragmatic Muslim Politics
This book analyses and discusses the use of Islamic terms and symbols in the political party Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC). It is based on interviews with the leading members of the party and on analyses of the party’s official documents. It describes the history of Muslims in Sri Lanka, presents the analytical framework used, and discusses the official documents and narratives of party members, as well as the details of the Ashraff and Hakeem terms in Parliament. The book provides knowledge about the state of religion and politics in Sri Lanka, and provides insight into how a religious political Muslim party functions as a pragmatic rather than fundamentalist movement. Representing a recent study on the complex relationship between religion and politics, this book greatly advances our understanding of the power of religion and its effect on both individual lives and society.

WAWASAN: Jurnal Ilmiah Agama dan Sosial Budaya is a peer-reviewed journal which is published by Ushuluddin Faculty UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung incorporate with the scholars association: Asosiasi Studi Agama Indonesia (ASAI) publishes biannually in June and December. This Journal publishes current original research on religious studies and Islamic studies using an interdisciplinary perspective, especially within Islamic Theology (Ushuluddin) studies and its related teachings resources: Religious studies, Islamic thought, Islamic philosophy, Quranic studies, Hadith studies, and Islamic mysticism. WAWASAN: Jurnal Ilmiah Agama dan Sosial Budaya published at first Vol. 1, No. 1, 2016 biannually in January and July. However, since Vol. 2 No. 1, 2017, the journal’s publication schedule changed biannually in June and December. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. Review process employs a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.
MIC 2021
This book contains the proceedings of the 1st Multidiscipline International Conference (MIC) 2021 will be an annual event hosted by Nusantara Training and Research (NTR). This year (2021), this event was held in collaboration with Nusantara Training and Research (NTR) with Universitas Borobudur Jakarta will be held on virtual conference in 30 October 2021 at Salatiga, Indonesia. We carry the theme "Improving People's Quality in Pandemic Era," trying to continue to synchronize with all aspects in the pandemic era and prepare to face the new normal, as well as future outlook of the field of Call for papers fields to be included in MIC. The scope of this event is multidisciplinary. Starting from social science, economics, education, law, engineering, religion and other sciences. This conference was attended by participants and delegates from various universities from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Australia, and Japan. More than 100 participants from academics, practitioners and bureaucrats took part in this event to exchange knowledge according to their research results and competencies.
