Eden Payne wants nothing to do with prom decorations, the popular girls, or the school's resident outcast Harvey Burke. Too bad her next semester is going to be consumed by the three. After bad luck lands her on the prom committee, alongside the cheerleaders and pageant queens, she's assigned the most impossible task on the list: booking a deejay. It wouldn't be so bad if the popular girls weren't hellbent on having retired local radio legend, Burke Berserk. Eden enlists help from Harvey, hoping he can convince his dad to come out of retirement for one night. Harvey agrees... for a price. If Eden trains him to be the perfect prom date so he can ask his longtime crush to the dance, he'll prevent her from a senior year of social hell. He sweetens the deal by throwing in tickets to an upcoming, sold out music festival where Eden's favorite band just filled a last minute slot. Eden is more than willing to transform Harvey from school misfit to prom dream date. But between their shared love for lyrics and practice dinner dates, her desire shifts from concert tickets to turning her trainee into the perfect prom date... for herself. **Note: This book can be read as a stand alone novel.**

The basic subject of the book is to justify which athlete was the Greatest to ever wear a particular number. In my research, I listed all of the possible uniform numbers 0 to 99, took the finest athletes from the four major sports (baseball, basketball, football, and hockey), and slotted them under their appropriate uniform number. For each player, I created a mini-biography detailing their finest exploits on the field-whether it was All Star nods, championships won, records held, on-field highlights etc. Basically, I created a "case" for that athlete to be considered the best to ever wear the number. Among the possible uniform numbers, I've listed nearly 850 athletes for consideration and p...

Minnesota sports legend Bud Grant tells the story of his remarkable life as a player and coach in this rich firsthand account. From surviving polio in childhood to a shining college sports career and playing both basketball and football professionally, and from coaching a championship-winning Canadian team to leading the Minnesota Vikings to four Super Bowls, Grant shares his personal perspective for the first time in this autobiography with entertaining detail and refreshing openness. The book recounts his experiences with star players and gives the inside story on Grant’s controversial retirement in 1983 and his return to the sideline in 1985. Minnesota sports lovers will also enjoy Grant’s reflection on his own idiosyncrasies, including his famous love of cold-weather football and banning of sideline heaters, and his postretirement life spent devoted to environmental protection and being an outdoorsman.
