The Geography of Slovenia
This book is the first to give a comprehensive and detailed overview of the complete geography of Slovenia in English. Only very few countries, even considerably larger ones, can boast the landscape diversity found in Slovenia since the Alps, the Pannonian Basin, the Dinaric Alps, and the Mediterranean meet and interweave in this small corner of Central Europe, as do Germanic, Hungarian, Slavic, and Romance cultural influences. Climate Change in the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Region
This book serves the purpose of showcasing some of the works in respect of applied research, field projects, and best practice to foster climate change adaptation across the region. Climate change is having a much greater impact in the Mediterranean than the global average. In the Paris Climate Agreement, the UN member states pledged to stop global warming at well below two degrees, if possible at 1.5 degrees. Slovenia
Zbornik je nastal ob 30. mednarodnem geografskem kongresu, ki je od 15. do 20. avgusta 2004 potekal v Glasgowu na Škotskem. Avtorji so v 26 prispevkih podali razmeroma celovit geografski pregled Slovenije. Po splošnem uvodnem opisu in umestitvi Slovenije v Evropo so prikazane njene naravnogeografske značilnosti, podnebje, vegetacija, prebivalstvo. poselitev in naselja, raba tal, industrija in turizem. Predstavljene so tudi možnosti nadaljnjega razvoja. S tem so mednarodni geografski srenji predstavljene geografske discipline, s katerimi se slovenski geografi najbolj intenzivno ukvarjamo. Knjigo bogatijo številni kakovostni tematski zemljevidi, povedne fotografije in preglednice. Na zadnji platnici je še pregledni zemljevid Republike Slovenije.

Knjiga, ki je bila izdana ob predsedovanju Slovenije Evropski uniji, vsebuje strnjene in nazorno (s preglednicami, statističnimi podatki, dodelanimi tematskimi zemljevidi ter številnimi barvnimi grafikoni in fotografijami) prikazane relevantne podatke o naši državi, od temeljnih kulturno-zgodovinskih podatkov do bistvenih informacijo naravnem okolju in družbenem razvoju. Na koncu sta dodana imensko kazalo preglednega zemljevida Slovenije na strani 31 in petjezični slovarček glavnih zemljepisnih izrazov.
Recent Landform Evolution
The Carpatho-Balkan Geomorphological Commission and the International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG) Carpatho-Balkan-Dinaric Regional Working Group, promote networking between researchers and the exchange of research experience. Following a brief introduction into the geology, climate, hydrology and land cover of the Carpatho-Balkan-Dinaric region, the book provides detailed information on research applying both traditional and innovative techniques and summarizes contemporary knowledge on recent geomorphic processes. It also presents studies of exogenic geomorphic processes from each country. Geografski informacijski sistemi v Sloveniji 2001–2002
Šesti zvezek Geografskih informacijskih sistemov v Sloveniji prinaša 24 člankov, ki jih je prispevalo 35 avtorjev različnih strok. Število in raznolikost avtorjev priča o širini raziskav s tega področja. Prispevki celovito prikazujejo vrhunske znanstvene, strokovne in tehnične, pa tudi pedagoške dosežke zadnjih dveh let s področja geografskih informacijskih sistemov. Geografski informacijski sistemi pri nas tako niso več novost. Vsakdo, ki se danes na kakršenkoli način ukvarja s prostorom, skoraj gotovo uporablja tovrstno tehnologijo. Mladostno obdobje geografskih informacijskih sistemov v Sloveniji je torej mimo, kar kaže tudi pričujoča knjiga.
