Water is generally obtained from two principal natural sources: surface water such as fresh water lakes, rivers, streams and groundwater such as borehole water. Water is one of the essentials that support all forms of plant and animal life and it has unique chemical properties due to its polarity and hydrogen bond which means it is able to dissolve, absorb, adsorb or suspend many different compounds. Groundwater is the major source of drinking water in the world because of its availability and constant quality [1-3]. Groundwater is also the preferred source of drinking water in rural areas, particularly in developing countries, because no treatment is often required and the water source is often located near consumers. However, in nature, water is not pure as it acquires contaminants from its surroundings and those arising from humans and animals as well as other biological activities

The English for Chemistry book is intended to fulfill the need for teaching learning materials especially for students who learn science, due to the lack of textbooks and other educational materials. Phonetics and Phonology: Theory and Practice
This theory and practice book is aimed at first-year students of Phonetics and Phonology. It is designed for use on twelve- or fourteen-week course on English Phonetics and Phonology of sort taught in the first year of many English Language and Linguistics degree. Students on such courses can struggle with English Phonetics and Phonology. This book attempts to show students why we need to know about Phonetics and Phonology, if we are interested in language and our knowledge of it, as well as introducing the main units and concepts we require to describe speech sounds accurately. It is based on a book I wrote which was published in the previous year. The book, which had the title Fluency in English Pronunciation has now been revised and updated. Since I feel that this book still has some use, I have taken many great works from many experts in (English) Phonetics and Phonology, and hope that it will be useful to students in getting to grips with all matters in English Phonetics and Phonology.

The Making of Middle Indonesia
What holds Indonesia together? 'A strong leader' is the answer most often given. This book looks instead at a middle level of society. Middle classes in provincial towns around the vast archipelago mediate between the state and society and help to constitute state power. 'Middle Indonesia' is a social zone connecting extremes. The Making of Middle Indonesia examines the rise of an indigenous middle class in one provincial town far removed from the capital city. Spanning the late colonial to early New Order periods, it develops an unusual, associational notion of political power. 'Soft' modalities of power included non-elite provincial people in the emerging Indonesian state. At the same time, growing inequalities produced class tensions that exploded in violence in 1965-1966.
