"Often depicted as one of the world’s most strictly isolationist and relentlessly authoritarian regimes, North Korea has remained terra incognita to foreign researchers as a site for anthropological fieldwork. Given the difficulty of gaining access to the country and its people, is it possible to examine the cultural logic and social dynamics of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea? In this innovative book, Sonia Ryang casts new light onto the study of North Korean culture and society by reading literary texts as sources of ethnographic data. Analyzing and interpreting the rituals and language embodied in a range of literary works published in the 1970s and 1980s, Ryang focuses crit...
Opanuj techniki koreańskiego masażu twarzy i ciała, zapewniając swojej skórze doskonałą formę.
This book and its sister volumes, i.e., LNCS vols. 3610, 3611, and 3612, are the proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Natural Computation (ICNC 2005), jointly held with the 2nd International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD 2005, LNAI vols. 3613 and 3614) from 27 to 29 August 2005 in Changsha, Hunan, China.
Ocean satellite remote sensing plays important roles in the observations of physical, biological and biogeochemical features in inland, coastal, and global ocean waters, with high temporal and spatial resolution. The satellite-measured ocean products are used for near-real-time ocean monitoring and climate data records to understand short-/long-term variabilities in marine environments and ecosystems as well as for decision making tools to manage social, economic, and environmental benefits. Validation/evaluation including a combination of field measurements and inter-satellite comparison is an essential step in providing more accurate satellite-derived ocean products. In this Special Issue,...
Annotation The three volume set LNCS 3610, LNCS 3611, and LNCS 3612 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First International Conference on Natural Computation, ICNC 2005, held in Changsha, China, in August 2005 jointly with the Second International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery FSKD 2005 (LNAI volumes 3613 and 3614). The program committee selected 313 carefully revised full papers and 189 short papers for presentation in three volumes from 1887 submissions. The first volume includes all the contributions related to learning algorithms and architectures in neural networks, neurodynamics, statistical neural network models and support vector machines, and other topi...
Additive manufacturing, also called rapid prototyping or 3D printing is a disruptive manufacturing technique with a significant impact in electronics. With 3D printing, bulk objects with circuitry are embedded in the volume of an element or conformally coated on the surface of existing parts, allowing design and manufacturing of smaller and lighter products with fast customisation. The book covers both materials selection and techniques. The scope also covers the research areas of additive manufacturing of passive and active components, sensors, energy storage, bioelectronics and more.
