East of Yuma

After shooting down numerous outlaws, a young cowboy named Jessee Cranston becomes the marshal of Yuma, Arizona. When he and his deputy stop a bank robbery in progress and kill all the bad guys in a bloody gunfight, Jessee has had enough. He turns in his badge and heads for Gila Bend, where his uncle owns a ranch. Upon his arrival, Jessee learns his uncle was gunned down in the local saloon. As Jessee looks into his uncle’s death, he discovers his relative was not only a rancher but had a copper mine on his property, and there are plenty of suspects who wanted to get their hands on that mine! With the help of the local sheriff, Jessee begins an investigation that takes him throughout Arizona and into Mexico. Jessee zeroes in on Dirk Holland, an outlaw wanted in several territories. After many miles and several gun battles, Jessee finally confronts the man and kills him, but now Holland’s brother is put for revenge. Everything comes to a climax in the streets of Gila Bend.

Heritage, Labour and the Working Classes is both a celebration and commemoration of working class culture. It contains sometimes inspiring accounts of working class communities and people telling their own stories, and weaves together examples of tangible and intangible heritage, place, history, memory, music and literature. Rather than being framed in a 'social inclusion' framework, which sees working class culture as a deficit, this book addresses the question "What is labour and working class heritage, how does it differ or stand in opposition to dominant ways of understanding heritage and history, and in what ways is it used as a contemporary resource?" It also explores how heritage is u...

In the Wind

In 1981, detective Kay Schucker was the lead investigator in the high-profile missing persons case of Old Dominion University student Janice Starr. The beautiful coed disappeared without a trace from ODU’s Norfolk, Virginia campus. Among the only leads was Janice’s diary, which included detailed journal entries about her daily activities. As Kay studied the diary—going several years back—she learned that Janice, a US Army veteran, had faced the same challenges in the military that Kay did in law enforcement. They were both women trying to succeed in a man’s world. Feeling a kinship toward Janice, Kay became consumed with unraveling the mystery of Janice’s disappearance and possib...
