50 Years On
Pope John XXIII prayed that the Second Vatican Council would prove to be a new Pentecost. The articles gathered here appeared originally in a series solicited by and published in Theological Studies (September 2012 to March 2014). The Vision of Vatican II

The IJBF provides quick and easy general access to these important resources for scholars and students. The festschrifts are located in state and regional libraries and their bibliographic details are recorded. Since 1983, more than 639,000 articles from more than 29,500 festschrifts, published between 1977 and 2010, have been catalogued.
Die Pfarrei als Dienstleistungsorganisation
Die Pfarrei stellt den kirchenrechtlich-lehramtlichen 'Normalfall' katholischer Basisstruktur dar. Ihr Normcharakter ist allerdings seit geraumer Zeit erheblich in die Krise geraten. Gleichzeitig begegnen in der Praxis vermehrt Initiativen, die Menschen nicht in klassische Gemeindekontexte integrieren wollen, sondern pastorale Gelegenheiten mit hoher situativ-biografischer Passung als Dienstleistungen anbieten. Der vorliegende Band denkt beide Entwicklungen zusammen. Er prüft den gesellschaftlich attraktiven Dienstleistungsgedanken auf seine Eignung, als eine neue, kraftvolle konzeptionelle Leitidee für die Pfarrei zu fungieren – und operiert dazu auf dem Grenzgebiet zwischen Theologie, Dienstleistungstheorie, Managementlehre und Organisationssoziologie.
Hope
In our times hope is called into question. The disintegration of economic systems, of states and societies, families, friendships, distrust in political structures, forces us to ask if hope has disappeared from the experience of today's men and women. In August 2019, up to 240 participants met at the international theological congress in Bratislava, Slovakia. The main lectures, congress sections and workshops aimed to provide a space for thinking about the central theme of hope in relation to philosophy, politics, pedagogy, social work, charity, interreligious dialogue and ecumenism.
