This book delves into dynamic systems modeling, probability theory, stochastic processes, estimation theory, Kalman filters, and game theory. While many excellent books offer insights into these topics, our proposed book takes a distinctive approach, integrating these diverse subjects to address uncertainties and demonstrate their practical applications. The author aims to cater to a broad spectrum of readers. The book features approximately 150 meticulously explained solved examples and numerous simulation programs, each with detailed explanations. "Modelling Stochastic Uncertainties" provides a comprehensive understanding of uncertainties and their implications across various domains. Here...

The main theme of the AMCTM 2008 conference, reinforced by the establishment of IMEKO TC21, was to provide a central opportunity for the metrology and testing community worldwide to engage with applied mathematicians, statisticians and software engineers working in the relevant fields. This review volume consists of reviewed papers prepared on the basis of the oral and poster presentations of the Conference participants. It covers all the general matters of advanced statistical modeling (e.g. uncertainty evaluation, experimental design, optimization, data analysis and applications, multiple measurands, correlation, etc.), metrology software (e.g. engineering aspects, requirements or specification, risk assessment, software development, software examination, software tools for data analysis, visualization, experiment control, best practice, standards, etc.), numerical methods (e.g. numerical data analysis, numerical simulations, inverse problems, uncertainty evaluation of numerical algorithms, applications, etc.), and data fusion techniques and design and analysis of inter-laboratory comparisons.

In continuation of the FRINGE Workshop Series this Proceeding contains all contributions presented at the 7. International Workshop on Advanced Optical Imaging and Metrology. The FRINGE Workshop Series is dedicated to the presentation, discussion and dissemination of recent results in Optical Imaging and Metrology. Topics of particular interest for the 7. Workshop are: - New methods and tools for the generation, acquisition, processing, and evaluation of data in Optical Imaging and Metrology (digital wavefront engineering, computational imaging, model-based reconstruction, compressed sensing, inverse problems solution) - Application-driven technologies in Optical Imaging and Metrology (high-...
21 years ago it was a joint idea with Hans Rottenkolber to organize a workshop dedicated to the discussion of the latest results in the automatic processing of fringe patterns. This idea was promoted by the insight that automatic and high precision phase measurement techniques will play a key role in all future industrial and scientific applications of optical metrology. A couple of months later more than 50 specialists from East and West met in East Berlin, the capital of the former GDR, to spend 3 days with the discussion of new principles of fringe processing. In the stimulating atmoshere the idea was born to repeat the workshop and to organize the meeting in an olympic schedule. And thus...
Scotty Welles, a young American architect, had it all figured out. She was going to Warsaw to work on the restoration of the finest historic structures, and to be with Jerzy, the man she planned to marry. Fate had other plans. Scotty meets Jerzy's best friend, Krystek, a tall, blond, Polish architect, and is awakened to an overpowering love for him, experiencing blissful sensations she had never felt before. To complicate matters, the beautiful Ilona tells Scotty that Krystek is her man. They already have a son together. Scotty has always wanted a lasting love with marriage. Will she marry Jerzy, who is kind and gentle, or Krystek, who is arrogant and difficult? The reader will learn a little about Polish culture, food, and the restoration of Warsaw's finest historic buildings.
