This two-volume set LNCS 12198 and 12199 constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Digital Human Modeling and Applications in Health, Safety, Ergonomics and Risk Management, DHM 2020, which was supposed to be held as part of the 22st HCI International Conference, HCII 2020, in Copenhagen, Denmark, in July 2020. The conference was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 1439 papers and 238 posters have been carefully reviewed and accepted for publication in HCII 2020. DHM 2020 includes a total of 77 papers; they were organized in topical sections named: Part I, Posture, Motion and Health: Posture and motion modelling in design; ergonomics and occupational health; applications for exercising, physical therapy and rehabilitation; health services; DHM for aging support. Klauselkontrolle nach spanischem Recht im Vergleich mit der Klauselrichtlinie 93/13/EWG
Die europäische Rechtsangleichung hat mit der Klauselrichtlinie erstmals einen zentralen Bereich der Vertragsrechte der EU-Mitgliedstaaten erreicht. Die damit verbundene Bedeutung dieser Richtlinie macht die rechtsvergleichende Untersuchung ihrer Umsetzung in die Rechte der Mitgliedstaaten besonders interessant. Philip Trillmich befasst sich mit der Umsetzung in das spanische Recht. Er stellt den Anwendungsbereich des gesamten spanischen Klauselkontrollrechts ebenso wie das Regelungsgebiet der Richtlinie und die Vorschriften des spanischen Rechts zu allen Aspekten der Klauselkontrolle (Einbeziehung, Auslegung, Inhaltskontrolle, Rechtsfolgen und Kontrollinstrumentarium) sowie die entsprechenden Richtlinienvorgaben unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der spanischen Rechtsprechung und der Pflicht zur richtlinienkonformen Auslegung ausführlich dar und vergleicht die erzielten Erkenntnisse.
Book of Abstracts. Workshop on Simulation and Optimization for Sustainable Engineering
The Workshop on Simulation and Optimization for Sustainable Engineering is held in Santander (September 28th-29th) on the occasion of the visit of Prof. Ignacio Grossmann to the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering of the Universidad de Cantabria in the framework of the Fulbright U.S. Specialist Program. This workshop is organized in collaboration with AQUIQÁN, the Association of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Cantabria, with the aims of serving both as a forum of discussion of the recent advances in the topic and a meeting point of the closest collaborators of Prof. Grossmann in Spain over the last years. Overall, 30 researchers will take part in this event coming from several universities (Alicante, Cantabria, Rovira i Virgili, Salamanca, Sevilla, and Valladolid) and the IMDEA Materials Institute. The program includes a plenary lecture imparted by Prof. Grossmann, one keynote presentation representative of each institution and around 15 oral presentations from young researchers.
