This three-volume-set (CCIS 219, CCIS 220, and CCIS 221) constitutes the refereed proceedings of the International Conference on ENTERprise Information Systems, CENTERIS 2011, held in Vilamoura, Portugal, in September 2011. Preservación digital
La sociedad actual depende de la información digital, pero esta a su vez depende de formatos de ficheros, de software y de hardware que pueden ser alterados y que se vuelven obsoletos con el paso del tiempo y el impacto del cambio tecnológico. La preservación digital es el conjunto de técnicas y de metodologías que permiten que la información digital pueda permanecer y seguir usándose a medio y largo plazo. En este libro se muestra un panorama general de las técnicas y las metodologías de preservación digital, como el modelo OAIS de funciones de un sistema de preservación, la migración de formatos, la emulación de hardware obsoleto, el análisis forense y las auditorías de preservación. También se presentan algunos problemas relacionados, como mantener la autenticidad de los documentos electrónicos y asegurar a largo plazo la sostenibilidad económica y tecnológica de los sistemas de preservación.

This book represents examples of innovations in digital humanities (DH) efforts across India while theorizing disparate challenges and its negotiations. It examines DH projects that have spanned private and public efforts, institutionally sanctioned lab-work, and crowd-sourced programmes of public significance and shows how collectively they demonstrate the potential paths of DH in India. L's de Les Revistes Electrniques a Les Universitats Catalanes
Prenent el cas del Consorci de Biblioteques Universitaries de Catalunya (CBUC), s'analitza l'us que es fa de les revistes electroniques contractades en el si d'un consorci bibliotecari. S'analitza l'us a les 7 universitats que formen part del CBUC durant l'any 2005. Els resultats mostren que les diverses universitats mantenen diferents nivells d'us de les revistes. S'han relacionat les diferencies d'us amb la col.leccio historica de revistes de cada universitat i amb el seu nivell de recerca. Tambe s'ha comprovat que les revistes previament no subscrites presenten uns nivells d'us molt baixos. El nivell d'us de les revistes cientifiques pot ser un indicador de la recerca de les universitats i per la seva avaluacio institucional.
