No âmbito do processo civil, as matérias de ordem pública processual surgem como um importante instrumento de controle da regularidade processual, porquanto garantem observância obrigatória das regras que formalizam a instauração e o desenvolvimento regular do processo. Observa-se em sede recursal interessante repercussão que constitui o objeto específico do presente livro, é o caso de reconhecimento de questão de ordem pública em capítulo que não foi objeto de impugnação, situação que necessita ser analisada à luz da teoria dos capítulos de sentença, dos efeitos decorrentes da interposição do recurso, de sua teoria geral e dos princípios norteadores do processo civil. The Revenge of Ishtar
