Ajaran Islam itu tinggi dan tidak ada yang bisa menandinginya, sehingga merupakan suatu hal yang bijak jika pemerintah menjadikan pendidikan agama Islam menjadi salah satu komponen yang dipelajari secara berkesinambungan dalam dunia pendidikan normal di Indonesia. Bahkan menjadi mata pelajaran wajib di tingkat pendidikan dasar, menengah, dan mata kuliah wajib pada perguruan tinggi, sekalipun pada perguruan tinggi umum.
