The Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA), in collaboration with the Embassy of France in Malaysia and the European Union (EU) Delegation to Malaysia, hosted the virtual Seminar on Enhancing the Area of Ocean Governance of the EU Strategy for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific through Dialogue from 23 to 24 June 2022. Ia tidak menghairankan memandangkan wujud keperluan bagi memenuhi aktiviti kapal kargo yang sema-kin meningkat meliputi 55,000 kapal dagang di peringkat antarabangsa. Dengan 90 peratus (%) perdagangan dunia berlangsung melalui pengangkutan laut, tidak menghairankan indus-tri maritim menjadi industri yang paling berkembang pesat dengan pelbagai perubahan yang segera diadaptasi meliputi pendigitalan, automasi, keselamatan siber, dan sebagainya.
