Cascara Kopi Arabika Gayo Sebagai Anti Photoaging
Kopi merupakan salah satu komoditi ekspor terbesar di Indonesia. Salah satu penghasil kopi terbesar adalah provinsi Aceh yaitu kopi arabika dan kopi robusta. Pengolahan kopi menghasilkan limbah yang banyak termasuk cascara/kulit kopi. Cascara mengandung antioksidan tinggi yang dapat dimanfaatkan terutama untuk kulit baik secara diminum ataupun dioleskan ke kulit. Penggunaan cascara kopi arabika Gayo dapat meningkatkan kolagen dan elastin kulit, mengurangi pigmentasi, meningkatkan hidrasi dan memperbaiki struktur kulit seperti mengurangi kerutan, kemerahan sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk peremajaan kulit dan pencegahan penuaan kulit. Diharapkan pemanfaatan krim cascara kopi arabika ini dapat sebagai terapi alternatif untuk penuaan kulit yang sudah teruji secara klinis dan aman digunakan untuk manusia.
