The Use of National Bureau of Standards High Frequency Broadcasts for Time and Frequency Calibrations
Methods to determine time or frequency by reception of NBS high frequency radio broadcasts are discussed. Results are shown for calibration of time signals to within +/- 100 microseconds and calibration of frequency offset with a resolution of better than 1 part in 109. These results are achieved by using a systematic approach and refined measurement technique.

Solving Polynomial Equation Systems IV: Volume 4, Buchberger Theory and Beyond

This book is an introductory presentation to the theory of local zeta functions. Viewed as distributions, and mostly in the archimedean case, local zeta functions are also called complex powers. Abelian Coverings of the Complex Projective Plane Branched along Configurations of Real Lines
This work studies abelian branched coverings of smooth complex projective surfaces from the topological viewpoint. Geometric information about the coverings (such as the first Betti numbers of a smooth model or intersections of embedded curves) is related to topological and combinatorial information about the base space and branch locus. Special attention is given to examples in which the base space is the complex projective plane and the branch locus is a configuration of lines.
