Pictures of Nothing surveys the most recent work of German artist Nadia Lichtig (born 1973), who works in both visual art and experimental music. Influenced by these different modalities, Lichtig's abstract paintings are comprised of muted swaths of color and carefully distributed lines.

In their aesthetic form the books are a decentred trilogy united together in a new concept of The Bibliograph. L'édition 2009, de l'exposition annuelle Rendez-vous, s'ouvre plus largement au réseau international en développant des liens avec des structures organisatrices de grandes manifestations de référence sur la scène artistique actuelle et notamment les biennales avec lesquelles Lyon est en étroite relation : Biennales de Taipei, Istanbul, Sante Fe, Liverpool, Mercosul, Triennale de Yokohama, mais aussi Bandjoun, Moscou et Vilnius. Rendez-vous 09 rassemble vingt artistes de dix nationalités différentes et leur permet de réaliser des projets inédits en peinture, sculpture, vidéo, installation ...
