Pre-modern critical interactions of nature and society can best be studied during the so-called "Crisis of the 14th Century". While historiography has long ignored the environmental framing of historcial processes and scientists have over-emphasized nature's impact on the course of human history, this volume tries to describe the at times complex modes of the late-medieval relationship of man and nature. Performance and Posthumanism
Recent technological and scientific developments have demonstrated a condition that has already long been upon us. We have entered a posthuman era, an assertion shared by an increasing number of thinkers such as N. Katherine Hayles, Rosi Braidotti, Donna Haraway, Bruno Latour, Richard Grusin, and Bernard Stiegler. The performing arts have reacted to these developments by increasingly opening up their traditionally human domain to non-human others. Both philosophy and performing arts thus question what it means to be human from a posthumanist point of view and how the agency of non-humans be they technology, objects, animals, or other forms of being works on both an ontological and performative level. The contributions in this volume brings together scholars, dramaturgs, and artists, uniting their reflections on the consequences of the posthuman condition for creative practices, spectatorship, and knowledge.
TRANSPOSITIONES 2022 Vol. 1, Issue 2: Intraconnectedness and World-making: Technologies, Bodies, Matters
In his 1978 book Nelson Goodman coined the term “worldmaking.” The new-materialistic approach to the potential for meaning of extra-human materiality and its multidimensional entanglements and the intraconnectedness shifts the concept of world-making into new perspectives of interpretation. In the categories of Karen Barad’s “agential realism,” it applies to practices of knowledge production and to a diffractive (re)configuration of the world’s matter and its meaning. “World-making” gains a further specific expression in Donna Haraway’s concept of “worlding” which shows the intraactive entanglement of matter, substance, meaning, storytelling and thinking on the fundamental level of the polysemic linguistic tissue itself.
Transcultural Automatisms
For the first time, the concept of transcultural automatism is introduced in the discussion on transculturality. This concept is intended to pave the way for the acquisition of transcultural competence and to engage with transcultural philosophy. The aim of the book is to achieve person- and situation-specific communication and action confidence in everyday life, professionally as well as privately, or to optimize already existing skills.

The Sustainability of Hemp
The cannabis plant, as a hemp, could contribute better than previously thought to achieving the goals of the UN Sustainable Development Report, the so-called Agenda 2030 and its 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). From a health perspective, its medicinal use is the main focus, but it is also used in cosmetic products and in food offerings for humans and animals. In the context of the increasing climate crisis, hemp helps especially to cope with the CO2 problem: in agriculture by binding the CO2 similar to reforestation, in industry as a recyclable raw material substitute for example as a plastic substitute, in clothing, in technology or in construction. At the moment, unfortunately, the immense prices and high demand show a different picture, from citizens who want to but can't or aren't allowed to, from farmers who have to overcome immense bureaucratic hurdles to an industry that is deterred by complex rules and laws to invest.
