Assistindo aos baixos resultados das avaliações externas e, principalmente, à desvalorização de nosso lugar de fala como educadores, ainda, buscamos, com afinco, a condução de práticas pedagógicas que envolvam, docentes e discentes, em um processo significativo. Assim, reunir esses textos, frutos de pesquisa, experiências e estudos intensos de alguns educadores, alunos do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da UNESP, Campus de Marília, é sinônimo de reconhecimento e concretude de que a educação, como instrumento social, reflete as necessidades, bem como as demandas de uma época sem precedentes.
