Armed with burning ambition, keen business sense and amazing audacity, Raghav Bahl started Television Eighteen (TV18) with a handful of talented professionals and rank beginners. Starting from a small room in New Delhi’s Safdarjung Enclave, TV18 grew into Network18—one of India’s biggest media conglomerates spanning television, print, films, the Internet, business, general news, drama and entertainment. In less than two decades, filled with excitement, adventure and frequent crises, Network 18 launched pioneering properties, television and film careers, and racked up partnerships with blue chip media brands. This is a story of brilliant ideas, severe setbacks, naked aggression, spectac...

This book aims to present a viable alternative to the Hopfield Neural Network (HNN) model for analog computation. It is well known the standard HNN suffers from problems of convergence to local minima, and requirement of a large number of neurons and synaptic weights. Therefore, improved solutions are needed. The non-linear synapse neural network (NoSyNN) is one such possibility and is discussed in detail in this book. This book also discusses the applications in computationally intensive tasks like graph coloring, ranking, and linear as well as quadratic programming. The material in the book is useful to students, researchers and academician working in the area of analog computation.

With modern communication networks continuing to grow in traffic, size, complexity, and variety, control systems are critical to ensure quality and effectively manage network traffic. Providing a thorough and authoritative introduction, Wireless Ad hoc and Sensor Networks: Protocols, Performance, and Control examines the theory, architectures, and technologies needed to implement quality of service (QoS) in a wide variety of communication networks. Based on years of research and practical experience, this book examines the technical concepts underlying the design, implementation, research, and invention of both wired and wireless networks. The author builds a strong understanding of general ...

Static and Dynamic Neural Networks

This thesis analyzes and explores the design of controlled networked dynamic systems - dubbed semi-autonomous networks. The work approaches the problem of effective control of semi-autonomous networks from three fronts: protocols which are run on individual agents in the network; the network interconnection topology design; and efficient modeling of these often large-scale networks. The author extended the popular consensus protocol to advection and nonlinear consensus. The network redesign algorithms are supported by a game-theoretic and an online learning regret analysis.
