Desa Tigawasa adalah salah satu dari deretan desa-desa Bali Aga (Bali kuno) di lereng utara perbukitan Buleleng. Dari tahun ke tahun, Desa Tigawasa terus berusaha membenahi diri dan mempersiapkan diri sebagai desa wisata. Salah satu terobosan pemerintah Desa Tigawasa adalah dengan mendirikan BUMDes (Badan Usaha Milik Desa) beberapa tahun silam. Pada awalnya tujuannya adalah untuk membantu perekonomian warga dan menyalurkan hasil kerajinan warga yang sebagian berprofesi sebagai penganyam kerajinan bambu seperti sok asi dan bedeg.
