Family history and genealogical information about the descendants of Benjamin Fordham who was born 28 May 1703 in Annapolis, Maryland or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the likely the son of B. Fordham who was born ca. 1650 in England and immigrated to America sometime prior to the year 1700. Benjamin married Martha LaPierre ca. 1735. They lived in North Carolina and were the parents of two sons and one daughter. Martha died soon after the year 1754. Benjamin married Alice (surname unknown) and later died ca. 1777. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and elsewhere.

He immigrated to America ca. 1623 aboard the ship "Southampton" and settled in Jamestown Colony. John married Elizabeth (surname unknown) sometime prior to the year 1626. They were the parents of tow sons and two daughters. Descendants lived in Virginia, South Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Texas and elsewhere.

Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of Herman Friedrich Ortlepp. He was born 30 Nov 1806 in Hiddingen, Germany. He married Anna Katherina Marie Witte 17 Jul 1831 at St. Johannes Kirche, Visselhövede, Germany. She was born 11 Aug 1811 in Hiddingen, Germany. They were the parents of nine children. He died 7 May 1850 in Germany. Five of the nine children immigrated to the United States and settled in Minnesota.
