"The One and Only You!" is a workbook for children ages 9-13 (grades 4-6) to support them in being their best selves. Based on my years of being a counselor, educator, and mother of five, I have learned what children need to grow healthy and thrive. In "The One and Only You," I combine that knowledge with the latest neuroscience-based research and my years of practicing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Given the recent sharp rise in teen depression, anxiety, and suicide rates and the fact that anxiety affects nearly one-third of adolescents today, I am committed to arming kids with CBT and mindfulness tools early enough in their lives so as to shift the trajectory for our country's 24 million middle school kids.
