Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (TADF-OLEDs) comprehensively introduces the history of TADF, along with a review of fundamental concepts. Then, TADF emitters with different colors, such as blue, green, red and NIR as well as white OLEDs are discussed in detail. Other sections cover exciplex-type TADF materials, emerging application of TADF emitters as a host in OLEDs, and applications of TADF materials in organic lasers and biosensing. - Discusses green, blue, red, NIR and white TADF emitters and their design strategies for improved performance for light-emitting diode applications - Addresses emerging materials, such as molecular and exciplex-based TADF materials - Includes emerging applications like lasers and biosensors
Driven by the request for increased productivity, flexibility, and competitiveness, modern civilization increasingly has created high-performance discrete event dynamic systems (DEDSs). These systems exhibit concurrent, sequential, competitive activities among their components. They are often complex and large in scale, and necessarily flexible and thus highly capital-intensive. Examples of systems are manufacturing systems, communication networks, traffic and logistic systems, and military command and control systems. Modeling and performance evaluation play a vital role in the design and operation of such high-performance DEDSs and thus have received widespread attention from researchers o...
This book is devoted to resonant energy conversion in power electronics. It is a practical, systematic guide to the analysis and design of various dc-dc resonant inverters, high-frequency rectifiers, and dc-dc resonant converters that are building blocks of many of today's high-frequency energy processors. Designed to function as both a superior senior-to-graduate level textbook for electrical engineering courses and a valuable professional reference for practicing engineers, it provides students and engineers with a solid grasp of existing high-frequency technology, while acquainting them with a number of easy-to-use tools for the analysis and design of resonant power circuits. Resonant power conversion technology is now a very hot area and in the center of the renewable energy and energy harvesting technologies.

An invaluable academic reference for the area of high-power converters, covering all the latest developments in the field High-power multilevel converters are well known in industry and academia as one of the preferred choices for efficient power conversion. Over the past decade, several power converters have been developed and commercialized in the form of standard and customized products that power a wide range of industrial applications. Currently, the modular multilevel converter is a fast-growing technology and has received wide acceptance from both industry and academia. Providing adequate technical background for graduate- and undergraduate-level teaching, this book includes a compreh...
This volume contains the proceedings of the conference on Computer Aided V- i?cation (CAV 2002), held in Copenhagen, Denmark on July 27-31, 2002. CAV 2002 was the 14th in a series of conferences dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practice of computer-assisted formal analysis methods for software and hardware systems. The conference covers the spectrum from theoretical - sults to concrete applications, with an emphasis on practical veri?cation tools, including algorithms and techniques needed for their implementation. The c- ference has traditionally drawn contributions from researchers as well as prac- tioners in both academia and industry. This year we received 94 regular paper submissions out of which 35 were selected. Each submission received an average of 4 referee reviews. In addition, the CAV program contained 11 tool presentations selected from 16 submissions. For each tool presentation, a demo was given at the conference. The large number of tool submissions and presentations testi?es to the liveliness of the ?eld and its applied ?avor.
