This book exposes the inherent contradictions of neoliberalism. The myth of limitless growth ignores the reality of resource constraints and fuels a global upward transfer of wealth. Meanwhile, a fractured global economy and intensifying class warfare chip away at neoliberalism's foundation. As inequality spirals and social justice crumbles, the model increasingly serves a privileged few at the expense of the majority. The growing interest in the history of Indonesia has made it desirable to have an English summary of the principal works of the Dutch historian Dr H. J. de Graaf, who in several books and articles published between 1935 and 1973 has given a description of the development of the Javanese kingdom of Mataram, based both on European and in digenous material. His works form a substantial contribution to the study of the national history of Indonesia. The Summary contains references to the paragraphs of the Dutch books and articles. This makes it easy for those readers who have a know ledge of Dutch to consult the original texts. The List of Sources for the study of Javanese history from 1500 to 1700 is composed of the lists in the summarized books and articles, and the Index of Names refers not only to the present Summary but also to the eight original texts. Many names of persons and localities in the Index have been provided with short explanatory notes and references to other lemmata as a quick way to give some provisional information on Javanese history.

The book, entitled “Theoretical and Applied Studies on Turkish Economy, Vol I”, aims to make contributions both to academic world, namely to the literature of economics and to real world through the formation of national economic policies in various aspects. The book is designed to examine Turkish economy from different perspectives and to contribute to the enhancement of competitiveness. For this aim, 46 scholars, 3 editors and the precious employees of IJOPEC Publications came together and published this book. In all chapters, current issues are tried to be examined through state-of-the-art econometric approaches and rigorous analysis. Like any other books, the process was toilsome and demanding but the aim is divine: to contribute to the literature and to Turkish economy. Although tiring, subsequent volumes of the examination of Turkish economy is planned to be published in the future.Consequently, any academician, or practitioner who is interested in Turkish economy and its connections with global economy would benefit from the book.
