Ao celebrar o Centenário da Comunidade de Faxinal dos Rosa, sentiu-se a necessidade de resgatar a história local, como forma de enaltecer o que as famílias construíram e de reafirmar o compromisso com os valores comunitários. Assim, desenhou-se um roteiro para abordar os diversos elementos da vida em comunidade – desde a chegada dos primeiros moradores, até o desenvolvimento da economia, da religiosidade, da educação, da saúde, do esporte e do lazer. Para dar voz aos protagonistas desse processo e honrar o papel que a participação sempre desempenhou na experiência comunitária, as famílias foram convidadas a narrarem suas próprias trajetórias.
