Sie verorten ihr Lebensgefühl in den Kiezen, in denen sie auch auf der Bühne stehen, sie halten die Skurrilitäten und Absonderlichkeiten des urbanen Lebens fest und sparen das Hadern mit dem Leben zwischen U-Bahn und Touristenmassen, zwischen Party, Extravaganz und ewigem Werden nicht aus. In diesem Sammelband finden sich all die Bühnentexte, in denen Berlin seine Spuren hinterlassen hat oder gar heimlicher Hauptdarsteller ist. In Berlin nahm auch die deutschsprachige Poetry-Slam-Bewegung 1994 ihren Ausgangspunkt. Ein Grund mehr für dieses Buch, das eine Liebeserklärung an Berlin ist, auch eine Abrechnung, vor allem aber eine großartige Hommage an die Stadt und ihre Insassen.
