Should we ban war robots or are they something we might want? What can computer games tell us about our morals? Is it OK to love a robot? What is ethical design in the digital world? How do we need to regulate the algorithms that impact our lives? The digital transition puts our ideas about morality to the test, presenting us with new questions in all areas of life: politics, economy, social life, communication, entertainment. In twenty contributions, experts from Europe, America and Asia rise to the challenge of finding answers to some of the new issues confronting us. The authors offer new perspectives on topics like robots for eldercare, autonomous vehicles, personal drones or data ethics. They present their ideas on how we, as a society, can deal with the digital challenges to our ethics and values. Electronic Government
In defining the state of the art of E-Government, EGOV 2002 was aimed at breaking new ground in the development of innovative solutions in this impor tant field of the emerging Information Society. To promote this aim, the EGOV conference brought together professionals from all over the globe. In order to obtain a rich picture of the state of the art, the subject matter was dealt with in various ways: drawing experiences from case studies, investigating the outcome from projects, and discussing frameworks and guidelines. The large number of contributions and their breadth testify to a particularly vivid discussion, in which many new and fascinating strands are only beginning to emerge. This begs the question where we are heading in the field of E-Government. It is the intention of the introduction provided by the editors to concentrate the wealth of expertise presented into some statements about the future development of E-Government.

Social Robotics
The two-volume set LNAI 14453 and 14454 constitutes the refereed post-conference proceedings of the 15th International Conference on Social Robotics, ICSR 2023, held in Doha, Qatar, during December 4–7, 2023. The 68 revised full papers presented in these proceedings were carefully reviewed and selected from 83 submissions. They deal with topics around the interaction between humans and intelligent robots and on the integration of robots into the fabric of society. This year the special topic is "Human-Robot Collaboration: Sea; Air; Land; Space and Cyberspace”, focusing on all physical and cyber-physical domains where humans and robots collaborate.
