This report, the second 'State of the Arctic Environment Report' prepared by AMAP in accordance with its mandate, presents the results of work conducted during AMAP's second phase (1998-2002) in relation to 5 priority areas: persistent organic pollutants, heavy metals, radioactivity, human health, & pathways of contaminants.
