This book is the requested sequel to the well-received original volume: ""A Baby Boomers History of Guilderland"" published in 2017. New stories and new photographs. In contrast to the first book, this one focuses more on personal memories than geography and landmarks. The first volume had 34 contributors of stories and graphics. The one has over 60! Places we lived, loved, learned, worked and played, taken for granted, as though nothing would ever change. Those days from the 1950's to 1980's, were times of great change, not only in the culture of America, but also as reflected in the town. Like much of history, it didn't last long. In addition, it has a lengthy chapter about The Guilderland Players at Guilderland Central High School.

Fish Catching Methods of the World

In the sixteen years since the last edition of Von Brant’s classic work was published, fishing and fisheries have undergone vast changes. Not only has there been great progress in the development of new tools, materials and techniques, but the industry has seen an increasing need to address controversial issues such as declining fish stocks, enormous quantities of bycatch and discard and the impact of towed fishing gear on the environment. Otto is the entertaining and humorous story that spans one man's life from childhood in Germany to adulthood in Australia. Named by his grandfather (referred to as "Opa" in German), Otto conjures up a great deal of trouble and chaos along his journey. Otto's early days seem to be made in heaven--as soon as he is able to talk and walk, his mischievous behavior is both applauded and protected by his grandfather, Opa. Otto's childhood antics include skipping school and lazily relieving himself in a gap between the wall and the bed--instead of going to the toilet. His parents become so frustrated with his behavior that they consider giving him up for adoption, but Opa continues to see only the good in his beloved grandson. It seems Otto could even get away with murder. Will Otto ever be able to take responsibility for his actions, or will his grandfather's loyalty to his grandson stand in the way? Otto's antics will surprise, amuse, and delight you as you follow his never-ending quest to find the greener pasture on the other side of the fence.
