Semigroups, Categories, and Partial Algebras
This book is a collection of selected papers presented at the International Conference on Semigroups and Applications, held at the Cochin University of Science and Technology, India, from December 9–12, 2019. This book discusses the recent developments in semigroups theory, category theory and the applications of these in various areas of research, including structure theory of semigroups, lattices, rings and partial algebras. This book presents chapters on ordering orders and quotient rings, block groups and Hall’s relations, quotients of the Booleanization of inverse semigroup, Markov chains through semigroup graph expansions, polycyclic inverse monoids and Thompson group, balanced category and bundle category. This book will be of much value to researchers working in areas of semigroup and operator theory.
Human Genome Analysis Programme
The first Human Genome Analysis Programme (HGAP) was launched for the years 1990-1992. The aim of this programme has been to ensure a significant European contribution to the worldwide effort to map the human genome and, in the long term, to set a basis for support of European research activities in future wide-ranging medical applications.
Semigroups, Algebras and Operator Theory
This book discusses recent developments in semigroup theory and its applications in areas such as operator algebras, operator approximations and category theory. The Unity of the Fundamental Interactions
From 31 July to 11 August 1981, a group of 108 physicists from 75 laboratories in 27 countries met in Erice for the 19th Course of the International School of Subnuclear Physics. The countries re presented were Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Venezuela, and Yugoslavia. The School was sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Public Education (MPI), the Italian Ministry of Scientific and Technological Research (MRST) , the Regional Sicilian Government (ERS), and the Weizmann Institute of Science. The programme of the School was mainly devoted to a review of the most significant results, both in theory and experiment, obtained in the field of high-energy interactions. The outcome of the School was to present a clear picture of how far we are along the fascina ting route towards understanding the deep meaning of the natural laws of hadronic and leptonic matter -- the final goal being the unity of all forces.
