BNVR

The BNVR Test is a unique non-linguistic approach for identifying whether a cognitive (problem-solving) deficit as well as a linguistic deficit exists in individuals with acquired aphasia. Recognising cognitive deficits in terms of problem-solving may be a key factor in understanding why some individuals overcome their communication difficulties better than others. Failure to recognise problem-solving difficulties may lead to unrealistic expectations of therapeutic intervention and thus inappropriate management and goal setting. The BNVR requires the client to solve 10 everyday problems, presented in full-colour photographic format. It is short, requires minimal linguistic input, contains real-life situations and is likely to be suitable for non-English speaking individuals. It will be useful to speech language therapists, occupational therapists and psychologists who need to ascertain whether problem-solving skills are affected and to assist in multi-disciplinary team decision-making in acute and rehabilitation settings.

Dont Judge A Booty By Its Cover

Don't Judge A Booty By Its Cover is based upon the trials and tribulations of a woman born with an enormous butt. The story is narrated by protagonist, Mia Moore, who speaks to the audience from the front view of life addressing the misconceptions of how women are seen, depicted, judged and oftentimes made into sexual objects because of their bodies. But Mia's ultra-ego named "Juicy" tells her own version of the story from the rear. Author Pamela Chapron tackles life's controversies of "The Booty" from an ingenious perspective. The struggles of a Big Booty are delved into and expressed through an epic display of storytelling. By day, Mia is a sweet, shy, innocent girl with a huge Booty. At night, she becomes "Juicy," her Ultra Ego and the Talking Booty that controls Mia. Juicy tries to show Mia how to really use her Booty to get the best life has to offer. But there are major consequences in Juicy's unscrupulous approach. This is a struggle between two personalities fighting for one Soul.Mia hates Juicy.Juicy hates Mia.Ironically, they are the same person but one has to die...Who wins?

Spiritual Midwifery

Spiritual Midwifery is considered by many to be the bible of the home birth movement. This classic book on natural childbirth introduced a whole generation of women to the possibility of home birth and breast feeding. At a time when higher levels of technology were the wave of the future, the home birth movement testified to the naturalness and normalcy of the birthing process-even the sacredness of it. Ina May Gaskin, the author, is a powerful advocate for a woman's right to give birth without excessive and unnecessary medical intervention. Now in its fourth edition, her voice is needed as much now as then. In today's climate of unprecedented numbers of cesarean sections and induced labor, ...
