Pam Cooper wrote these poems as a way of processing her grief following her mother's death in 2015, and her father's death some years before. She also expresses her affection for Gnosall, the village in Staffordshire where she was born. In 2019 Pam was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order and given the name Saddhajivini.
